How To Perform The Backhoe Drill

  1. Start from a controlled toe stall.
  2. Set the bag slightly upward and toward your centerline as you perform an uptime dexterity.
  3. Hop off the support leg as the bag rises.
  4. Swing the opposite leg over the bag from out-to-in.
  5. Continue turning your hips into clipper position.
  6. Instead of catching on a clipper stall, position your toe behind the support leg in a cross-body rake position.
  7. Catch the bag on the toe and sweep it from behind the support leg back to the front of your body.
  8. Finish on a controlled toe stall to complete the final dexterity.
  9. Repeat on the same side to complete the drill.
